Ultrasonic Cleaning
Ultrasonic cleaning involves the use of high-frequency sound waves (above the upper range of human hearing, or about 18 kHz) to remove a variety of contaminants from parts immersed in aqueous media (water). As traditional, solvent-based, cleaning systems have been phased out, Ultrasonic Cleaning is viewed as the preferred nontoxic, nonflammable, and environmentally friendly alternative.
URI’s ultrasonic cleaning services provide a cost-effective solution to removing rust, oils, dirt and debris from a wide variety materials. Metals, plastic, ceramics and glass can be safely cleaned. Utilizing batch cleaning methodology, large volumes of relatively low value stock and parts can be cleaned and recovered.
